Monkey See...

There are some evenings when Daddy gets home after Mara has already eaten dinner.  When he sits down to eat, she needs to be part of the process.  She loves to "share."

These days...

Mara signs "milk" and is practicing "thank you."  She says "Diesel," "ah-oh," and seems to try "more."  When asked, a horsey says "Whee" (in a high pitched voice).  She does "high five."  She can climb the stairs and is learning how to slide down on her belly.  She gives wonderful (open mouth) kisses and will blow kisses (occasionally when asked).  She gives nice hugs (mostly to Daddy at bed time).  When we take her to bed at night and rock for a bit, she will reach for the crib when she is ready to go "nigh-nigh."  She turns and gives me a kiss and settles in with her two cuddle toys.

This past week, she got sick again.  When getting ready for bed, she rejected the bottle (likely not hungry), and since then, she just takes the sippy cup, so no more bottle.  (No more baby?).  When she takes a drink from her sippy, she swallows and says "Ahh."

When we meet people who haven't seen her, they immediately say they see both Mommy and Daddy in her (nose up is Daddy and mouth/expression is mommy).
