Is she walking?

It's something you hear often after your baby turns 1.  "Is she walking?"  To which I laugh.  She doesn't need to--she can get where she wants to go and do what she wants to do, what is the incentive?  After all, she didn't star crawling until about 10 months.  However, I have learned from my experienced friends that I should be grateful for the time she ISN'T walking, so I don't mind a bit.

She does find her way behind a grocery cart or scooter and makes her way around a room. Occasionally you can catch her off guard and get a step or 2, but that is about all.

This was a trip to Target. Sometimes I push the envelope after work and Go-Gos only go so far. This trip, she found sitting in the big basket very entertaining.  It let me finish shopping, so I was all for it.

This shot seems to be a rite of passage for most kids.  Mara found the toilet in September (and started playing in the water); she learned how to unroll the toilet paper in October, and in November, she figured out how to lift the lid (and soak herself).
