As November comes to a close and Mommy gets ready to head back to work, we reflect on a final awesome month together.
Every Monday we went to Baby Talk at the Northfield Community Center. We enjoyed talking with other mom's and are looking forward to the New Mom Network that starts next Monday night.
We had a few more lunches with Mommy's friends.
We had my 2 month check up (see prior post). Here's what I am doing at 2 months...
I have started to talk more. Sometimes I talk to myself, sometimes I sing with Mommy & Daddy, and sometimes I engage in conversation. I can spend a longer period of time on my mat playing with my toys. I can actually grasp them and bring them to my mouth.
I still chew on my fist a lot, don't really like the pacifier, and am getting used to the bottle (after Mommy & Daddy tried 3 different kinds). I like music--it often calms me when I am upset, which often happens in the evenings because I am tired. I don't take very good naps during the day unless I am in my swing. Mommy is trying hard to get me used to the pack-n-play, but for naps, it just doesn't work yet.
I love baths, but hate getting out (unless Daddy takes me out and bundles me). I hate my carseat most of the time, unless I am ready to just fall asleep. Running errands can get tricky if I don't want to be strapped down. You can find Mommy and Daddy roaming the aisles of stores hanging on to me (then I am as happy as can be).
I must either spend too much time at Target or feel super comfortable there, because I've had two blowouts there already...thank goodness Mom had extra clothes.
We went to LaCrosse for an overnight trip and met Mommy's friend and her daughters. I am getting used to riding in the car for long trips, as long as I am not crabby when the trip starts! I also sleep well in my pack-n-play at night!
We celebrated Thanksgiving in Green Bay, and continue to enjoy very mild weather.
We've decorated for Christmas and look forward to celebrating together as a family.
