18 months

Mara is 18 months...yes, it went fast.  She is on the move.  She still can't get up on the couch by herself, as much as she'd like to.  She has learned to climb on her chair to get on the big chair.  She climbs stairs well, but needs help taking the belly route down.

She has a new obsession with Elmo (Momo).  As soon as she sees the iPad or our phones, she is asking for Momo.  I don't get the appeal, but gosh, he seems to have that affect on a lot of kids, especially at this age.

She has a lot of hair, it is fine and curly, and usually a mess.  She will not keep clips or ponies in.  She's graduated to size 5 shoes and still comfortably fits in size 12-18 months clothes.  She still eats most everything, only occasionally resisting until you demonstrate you'll eat it first.  She has 10 teeth (and the molars really give her a run for the money).  Since we don't have a doctor's appointment until 2 years, we don't know her change in weight or height.  I think her Buddha belly has declined slightly.  She still takes 2 naps and sleeps about 10-11 hours at night.

Diesel is still very amusing.  She says his name very clearly now.  When she wakes up in the morning, she calls for Da-da, Ma-ma, and Dee-so.  She loves to help let him outside and put him in his kennel (she walks to the kennel, opens the door, and yells his name).

She is very generous with her kisses.  Daddy has her trained to give him a kiss every time she asks to go on he couch with him.  She picks up the remote and you ask her "Who's is that?" and she quickly replies "Da-da" and brings it directly to him. She signs "please" and says some form of "thank you" which we can only tell by the tone, not the words.

She has shown an early liking for motorized vehicles.  As seen in prior clips, riding in her Jeep in the basement and on the snowmobile. She's learning a few dance moves, mostly twirling in circles until she gets dizzy.
